Marta Caldeira is a Ph.D. candidate in architecture history and theory at Columbia University. She holds a professional degree from the University of Lisbon and an MsAAD from Columbia. She has worked as an architect for Peter Eisenman in New York and for Gonçalo Byrne in Lisbon. Ms. Caldeira has taught history, theory and design courses at Yale School of Architecture and Columbia University. She has contributed both writing and design projects to various journals and design magazines. Her current research focuses on theories of architecture and the city in contexts of political transition in the 1970’s.
