Barnes Foundation, Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, 2012

 

Amanda Reeser Lawrence is assistant professor at the School of Architecture at Northeastern University, and holds a Ph.D. in architectural history and theory from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. Her book James Stirling: Revisionary Modernist (Yale University Press, 2013) was funded by the Graham Foundation and the Paul Mellon Center for Studies in British Art. A licensed architect, Lawrence is founding co-editor of the award-winning journal, Praxis, which was selected as Deputy Commissioner of the 2014 Architectural Biennale in Venice. Her current research centers around the discursive framing of influence and appropriation within modern architecture.
